InterSystems Hosts Partners for Information-Packed Day

At InterSystems, we pride ourselves on being a trustworthy, knowledgeable tech partner and are invested in the success of our partners.

That’s why it was important that our first Partner Day acted as a forum for our partner community to discuss everything from best practices and new ideas to successful experiences, as well as how we can all help customers to overcome barriers to progress such as being risk-averse, legacy constraints and skills shortages.

In the first session of the day, Jeff Fried, our Director of Product Management Data Platforms, gave partners a glimpse of InterSystems’ data platforms roadmap and how we are creating the next generation of great solutions. He also outlined our ambitious aims to double our healthcare clients and triple this across verticals such as financial services and retail. At the heart of these plans is InterSystems IRIS – our several purpose data management solution that brings together data and analytics.

Jeff also introduced the three key themes of the day: AI, cloud and freedom of choice, before the event’s keynote speaker Jennifer Thomson, Senior Research Director at IDC Europe, took to the stage for a thought-provoking session. During this time, Jennifer shared her expertise on the investment strategies and decisions of European enterprises as they transition to modern application architectures. With many of our partners embarking on their digital transformation journey, Jennifer was able to offer valuable industry insights based on her research into DevOps for digital, agile business transformation.

With digital transformation such a focal point for businesses, our partners then heard from our team of in-house experts about how InterSystems is addressing these issues and how they can make best use of our platforms. This saw our Sales Engineering Manager, Jon Payne discuss ‘Moving to the Cloud’, explaining how technical complexity is the enemy of innovation and how cloud can help businesses become much more adaptive and agile organisations. Next up were Sales Engineers Saurav Gupta, showing our partners ‘How to construct a DevOps pipeline’ in order to ensure a successful digital transformation journey, and Louise Parberry, who discussed ‘Applying AI and ML’, demonstrating use cases for these technologies and how our partners can implement them.

For us, the day was a great opportunity to find out about how our partners are using our platforms and to educate them on InterSystems IRIS as they look to migrate to our latest solution. We also succeeded in showing our partners that with the right platform in place they can successfully deliver digital transformation and get the insight they need to innovate quickly and strategically.

The day was a triumph for InterSystems, providing a platform for us to share our expertise but also enabling our partners to connect and collaborate with peers, with the aim of leaving them feeling inspired and ready to innovate!

Some applications are too important to fail. They support our healthcare systems, businesses, and governments. Health. Prosperity. Society. These are things that matter. What our clients strive to enable every day. And what our software helps make possible.
