Compare the Cloud – How augmented intelligence is changing the workplace

Where AI once equated to artificial intelligence, we are now beginning to talk about it in reference to augmented intelligence. With augmented intelligence, adaptive systems and intelligent tools are being created which can be applied to jobs carried out by people. Jon Payne, our Manager of Sales Engineering, shares his thoughts with Compare the Cloud on which industries are seeing the most impact from augmented intelligence, such as financial services and the automotive industry, and how this is allowing businesses to realise greater value. According to Jon, we’re only just scratching the surface of what augmented intelligence can offer society and businesses, and we will begin to see its impact increasingly clearly in the coming years.

Jon Payne is the manager for sales engineering at InterSystems and has 37 years experience building and delivering software in over 30 countries. Initially working for the NHS at the start of his career, Jon held a number of positions in both the healthcare and financial arena - including running his own consultancy - before joining InterSystems.
